With your explicit device permission, we collect precise or approximate geolocation coordinates (latitude/longitude) to:
- Display live storm radar layers centered on your local position.
- Calculate proximity to NOAA / National Hurricane Center storm tracks.
- Provide county-specific evacuation zones, shelter locations, and emergency contacts.
Note: Location data is used in real-time in your session and is not shared with third-party advertisers. You may disable location permissions in your device settings at any time.
C. Device & Technical Usage Data
- Device model, operating system version (iOS / Android), unique device identifiers, and browser type.
- IP address, server log entries, crash diagnostics, and performance metrics for maintaining system stability during high-traffic hurricane events.
3. Mobile App & Device Permissions (iOS & Android)
When using our mobile applications on Apple iOS or Google Android, the app may request specific hardware or system permissions:
Used to pinpoint your vicinity on NOAA hurricane radar maps, deliver localized wind speed forecasts, and calculate evacuation routes.
Used to broadcast critical severe weather alerts, evacuation mandates, hurricane landfall warnings, and lead status updates.
